We'll be in Mendo this weekend, playing at the Stanford Inn on Saturday Night (May 10th) at 7:00pm. There's a lovely piano there as well, so you know that Joe will be all about the mid-century standards and old-timey blues. We'll be doing our usual set, featuring the Hitchcock Suite, and the Stanford Inn features world class vegetarian dining and lovely accommodations in a breath-taking coastal setting. Also, we've got some gigs (of the super fun variety; not to be missed) coming up, so be sure to keep an eye on our Gig Page.
In other news, our Kickstarter campaign was successful!! Huzzah! Thank you so much to everyone who contributed and made this wonderful project possible, we love you all so much, and we couldn't have done it without you. The rewards are being distributed, we've released our new EP, "The Hitchcock Suite", on both CD and Vinyl, and our humble homage to the Master of Suspense will be available on iTunes soon. In the meantime, you can pick up our latest recording at one of our shows, or contact us through our Contact Page and we'll even send you a CD or Vinyl Record in the mail, to virtually anywhere in the world.... and we'll be posting new mp3s soon!
And in Super Exciting Hot Off The Presses "Extra!! Extra!! Read All About It" News:
The Lost Church has launched it's renovation campaign. As we're sure you know, The Lost Church is Near and Dear to our hearts here at Brazillionaires Central, and there's a charming little video from Brett and Lizzie for you to enjoy above, featuring one or two familiar faces and an original song from Joe. This is a Massive undertaking from Brett and Lizzie, as their beautiful Theater goes dark for three months during the Summer of 2014 as they comply with ADA requirements and try to go fully legitimate as a functioning and 100% legal and aboveboard Rock n Roll Dinner Theater. For three years, The LC has been an underground performance space, essentially. It's Brett and Lizzie's Living Room, and they invite everyone to come and enjoy their art, and their lives, with them. Plus, they've now got a 1 Year Old Baby!! Just imagine. (Personally, we can't wait until Ulysses starts performing with us.) They've been hosting a Listening Room and Performance Space for Musicians, Artists, Performers, Magicians, Contortionists, Jugglers, Filmmakers, Comedians, and last and definitely least (the absolute lowest of the low, really) ...actors. Yes, even actors have a place at The Lost Church. Please support The Lost Church so that poor, unfortunate, unloved, destitute, prodigal, profligate, wanton, shameless, lascivious, and improvident actors will continue to have a home in San Francisco. Seriously though, actors are desperate creatures that need your help.
We do realize that many of you out there in Brazillionaires-land have already contributed generously to our project, and we treasure that generosity tremendously. So if you're tapped out, we most certainly understand and appreciate your munificence. But believe us when we say that this "Little Theater That Could" is incredibly important to the cultural life of San Francisco and to the Bay Area. So please do contribute what you can! We'll be posting videos and content over at The Lost Church's Website and on their Indiegogo Page, so keep an eye out & please CLICK HERE and Help Save The Lost Church!!!
